Step1: Pre-reading

1.   Before our class, let’s sing a song.

S: Sing Good Morningfrom Unit 1

2.  Greeting practice by using Hi, Hello, Good morning, Good afternoon..

S: Greet with desk mates

Step2: While-reading

Step1.

T: In this new book, we have so many new friends. Who are they?

S: Mike, Helen, Liu Tao, Wang Bing, Bobby, Sam, Miss Li.

T: Today, our friend, Mike***es to visit us. Let’s say hello to him.

S: Hello, Mike. (together)

Step2.

PPT上出现Mike的图片,

T: Let’s listen to Mike. What is he saying?

  PPT上的一小句录音。

T: What does Mike say?

  What does it mean?

T: Now, we know Mike. So we can say……

What does it mean?

S: Hello, I am Mike.

S: 我是Mike

S: You are Mike.

S: 你是Mike

在黑板上写好中文: ①我是Mike

                  ②你是Mike

T: Here, we can see you and I, and two ‘是’。 So how to distinguish between these two ‘是’?

PPT出现口诀。

S: Tell other students the secret.

Ss: Practice it together by clipping hands. (Chant)

T: Can you choose the right cards and put them into the right position in a sentence?

S: Pick the cards: I, am, You, are.

  Put them in a simple sentence.

T: Let’s read ‘I am Mike.’

           ‘You are Mike.’ together.

S: Read it together.

  Read one by one.

Step3.

T: But, our friend Liu Tao doesn’t know Mike.

  So, he says…… 播一句话的录音。

  What does he say?

  What does it mean?

T: Are you Mike? 的卡片贴上黑板。

T: Read ‘Are you Mike?’ together with gestures

S: Are you Mike?

  你是Mike吗?

Read together with gestures.

Step4.

T: Are you ……?

T: Read after me. ‘Are you Mike?

Yes, I am. ’

S: Yes, I am  (板书)

S: Read it together.

  Practice the dialogue with desk mates.

Step5.

T: (再现)Are you ……?

T: 与学生互动,练习对话。

  

 

 

 

T: Invite student to ask teacher by using the new dialogue we learn today.

T: No, I’m not.

  Im …….(板书)

Step6.

Game: let’s guess who he is.

T: I need one of you to***e to the front. You are supposed to turn your back to your classmates, then guess who is talking to you by recognizing his voice.

Step7.

Letter revision.

T: We have learnt several letters in Unit1. Can you tell me what are they?

T: Game time.

  I need you to be a group of four. Each of you should write a learnt letter. Then the rest of your group members will guess your letter by using the new dialogue.

Step:3 Post-reading

Summary:

T: 当你想询问时,可以说:

   Are you ……?

   Yes, I am.

   No, I’m not.

S: Thinking and memorizing.

Step4Homework

1. Listen to the tape and read after the tape from p12-13 for three times.

2. Make a dialogue.

评价

1、通过书本人物的引入,使学生自然地进入所设置的情境中。打招呼用语的复习为下一环节做好了铺垫。

2、此环节的设计给学生提供了新句型的学习与应用,主要是能让学生获得快乐,避免了句型教学的枯燥与乏味。

3、在游戏中,学生可以不自觉地运用到新授的询问句式。增加学生的口头表达次数,不断提高学生对英语的兴趣。
