一、教材分析

      本单元主要是学习句型“First…, next…, then…,   finally…”有序地对事情进行描述，了解西方的圣诞节，并对本单元的单词“Christmas, buy,   present, next, put, pretty, thing, look, stocking, finally, early, turkey,   pudding, all”及短语“Christmas tree, Father Christmas, Christmas Eve, wait for,   Christmas Day, have a good time”达到掌握熟练运用的目的。

二、各抒己见

王顺亚：本单元的话题是圣诞节。圣诞节是西方国家的传统节日，就像中国人过春节一样，圣诞节的氛围影响着每一个人。教师课前可以准备一些与圣诞节有关的图片、物品（圣诞帽，圣诞袜等）和圣诞歌曲，设计教学活动，引入话题。本单元涉及的活动有购买圣诞树和圣诞礼物、圣诞老人讲圣诞心愿、装饰圣诞树、在床上放置长筒袜和享用圣诞大餐等。教师可以根据时间的先后顺序，将这些活动作一个有序地安排，从而将本单元的重点句型First/ Next/ Then/   Finally,…与之有机地结合起来。

卞映月：基于圣诞节的主题，教师可以安排学生课前准备一件简单的圣诞礼物，然后设计互赠圣诞礼物、扮演圣诞老人等教学活动，使学生们在动中学、学中记、记中用，更好地理解圣诞文化。

一、教学目标：

1.能正确理解、朗读、复述课文；

2.能正确朗读、运用动词短语buy   a Christmas tree, go to see Father Christmas等描述圣诞节;

3.能正确朗读动词短语并运用动词短语及表示先后顺序的副词描述圣诞节的相关活动。

4.了解圣诞节的相关文化。

二、教学目标设计依据：

1.内容分析：

本节课将围绕着”at   Christmas”来展开话题学习，在Storytime 中，通过课文的学习来谈论一些关于圣诞节的活动。从而引入本单元的单词“Christmas, buy, present, next, put, pretty, thing,   look, stocking, finally, earlly, trukey, pudding, all”及短语“Christmas tree, Father Christmas, Christmas Eve,   wait for, Christmas Day, have a good time”, 在对新单词、短语的学习上，不能只用单一的记忆让学生记单词，而要通过游戏等让学生感兴趣的方式达到记忆的效果。在语言上，主要以“First,... Next,... Then,... Finally,...”为模式，组织学生结合日常用语进行会话操练。

2.学生分析：

本单元的内容结合教学时间，以圣诞节为话题进行一些圣诞节风俗习惯的教学。内容上与前几个单元的内容联系不太紧密，在教学中，教师要注意让学多动口，提供给学生说的机会，多给与鼓励，让他们对英语学习充满自信。通过Read and match的学习，让学生通过阅读找到相应的图片，以便于加深对本单元单词、短语的掌握。另这一单元学习的词汇比较多，所以要激发学生学习的兴趣，让学生在节日的气氛中，潜移默化地获得知识。

三、重点难点（第一课时）

1. 能正确运用所学单词和句型交流。

2. 掌握first,   next, then, finally来描述事情的发展。

教师提前给出顺序副词First,   next, then, finally.

3. 再逐段出示，教师批阅黑板上的排列情况，并引出时间短语

4. T: Do they like Christmas?

5.Read.

学生自读课文，划出短语，小组内互相学习。

学生边听边把活动短语按顺序摆放，教师请一位学生到黑板前摆放。

摆放后两人组核对一下答案.
